Basic Applesauce Recipe

It's my first time making applesauce and I have no idea what to expect. But the recipes I see out there all includes added sugar and I decided to make one without any added sugar (: It's a really basic recipe with 3 ingredients - Water, apples and cinnamon. I've been mixing it into my oatmeals and it adds a light sweetness. Really loving this applesauce.

Haven't tried it with other apples, but I think using a crunchy apple would give a nicer texture to the final product (: I don't recommend Fuji apple though, cause I don't find it sweet enough. But if you like the taste of Fuji apples, you could try that too (:

Basic Applesauce Recipe
Prep time: 5mins, Cook time: 30-45mins

Ingredients:
Apples
Water (I did not measure how much water I added, but for a start, the apples should be floating- don't add too much water though because you could add more water but not take out the water)
A dash of cinnamon

Methods:
1. Cut apples into chunky wedges (I cut mine into 8)
2. Add apples to water and bring to boil
3. Boil till the apples are soft (if water gets dried up before apples are soft, add more water) - mine took around 30-45 minutes
4. There should be little water left when apples are soft enough to be mashed
5. Mashed the apples with a fork till desired texture (I left a few bigger soft pieces of apples un-mashed)
6. Add cinnamon to taste
7. Cool and pack applesauce in the refrigerator (:

It's that easy:D Enjoy!
