Apple Pie Baked Oatmeal

Today is the official first day of holiday! :D was kinda upset with this semester. My results were way below expectations and I'm really afraid of year 2. I need to buck up. I need to really pull my results up.

So, to cheer myself up, a re-creation of my all time favourite apple pie from MacDonald's (: Baked Apple Pie Oatmeal. It's really simple. The only part I had problems with is cutting the apples (because I can't anything properly x.x) But if you're skillful with the knives, this wouldn't be a problem.

I used my applesauce (recipe from earlier on) in this and to bring out the apple pie flavour. And the chunky bits of soft apples gave the oatmeal some texture and flavour.

Ingredients:
Rolled oats
Milk (enough to cover the oats, you could add water to fill it up)
2-3 tsp Applesauce, or more if you prefer (:
Cinnamon, to taste
Sliced apples, to cover the oatmeal when baking

Methods:
1. Preheat oven to 180C
2. Combine rolled oats, milk (or milk+ water), applesauce and cinnamon in a bake safe bowl
3. Slice apples and layer them (single layer) over the oatmeal
4. Bake in preheated oven for 20-25minutes
5. Sprinkle additional cinnamon when serving

(: enjoy!
